POKOTABI / Neverland
炭火ホルモン焼のネバーランド 〜プロが焼き上げるホルモン居酒屋〜
Set along Togoshi Ginza Shopping Street, Sumibi Horumon-yaki Neverland is an izakaya serving charcoal-grilled beef offal and red meat prepared in the kitchen and brought straight to your plate, alongside specialties like gutsu, hoso, and house-pickled chakkimu.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Strolling along Togoshi Ginza Shopping Street leads to Sumibi Horumon-yaki Neverland, where offal is not turned over a tabletop grill by diners, but grilled over charcoal in the kitchen and served directly to the plate. With kitchen staff tending the heat to suit each cut, guests can bypass the rush of watching grill temperatures and focus entirely on savoring the meat alongside their drinks.
For classic horumon cuts, gutsu offers a satisfying snap seasoned with salt, while hoso slowly releases the mellow sweetness of beef fat with every chew. Diners also praise the thick-cut premium beef tongue, crisped over charcoal outside while keeping a tender, rare center. Red meats like skirt steak (harami) and boneless short rib (kalbi) round out the menu, offering a varied interplay of textures and beef flavors.
Before the hot grilled cuts arrive—or between rounds—the house specialty chakkimu delivers crisp refreshment: tender Chinese cabbage hearts paired with house-made kimchi paste. Rich avocado kimchi also makes an easy counterpoint to richer offal fats, while simmered beef tendon tofu brings comforting warmth to the table.
The bar complements the grill with standard draft beer and highballs alongside inventive options such as Hatsukoi Cha-wari—a house tea blend of jasmine, hojicha, and genmaicha—as well as organic lemon sours and pickled-ginger sours. Inside, seating spans counter and table arrangements, complemented by terrace seats open to the outside breeze. Factoring in the unhurried pace of charcoal grilling when placing an opening order lets the full smoky aroma and savor unfold naturally.
